Families, seniors & disabled persons

The City is aware of the importance of offering equal opportunity to all and had developed an action plan for disabled persons, as well as families and seniors.

Families and Seniors

Sports centre, library, Place des générations, parks, walking trails, bicycle paths… the City offers an abundance of infrastructure appreciated by families and seniors and has also developed a family and seniors policy (link) based on concerns and needs expressed by the population.

Action Plan for Poeple with Disabilities

Disabled persons

Even today, the daily lives of disabled individuals are often filled with challenges. It is the City’s responsibility to set the example by doing everything possible to contribute to the mobility of disabled persons.

A number of measures have already been taken by the City of Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures to make municipal buildings accessible. However, there is still place for improvement.

Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures has just acquired a swing for children with reduced mobility. Obtained through the Government of Canada's Enabling Accessibility Fund, this swing allows kids to have fun in complete safety!
